November 12th, 2019
As the temperature outside begins to dip, it suddenly becomes a little bit harder to come up with things to do in your free time. To help you out, we’ve put together a list of festive winter activities near Whitegate that will take your mind off the chill!
On November 23rd, Northwich will light up with festivities. Activities such as donkey rides, Santa’s Grotto, fairground rides and circus tricks will entertain the grandchildren for hours, and you’ll also be able to look forward to all of the beautiful and intriguing things on offer at the Christmas stalls.
Taking place from November 30th until December 24th, Santa Cruises are an excellent day out for those of you with young grandchildren. There will be storytelling, songs, and each child will be given a special gift when they meet Santa. It’s not every day that you get to meet Santa on a boat cruise!
On December 14th and 15th from 1pm to 5pm, you can head over to the Lion Salt Works for a festive afternoon of songs, games, steam engines and a visit from Santa on the Saturday! He’ll be there with his reindeer, so it’s fun for children and animal lovers alike.
Enjoy over 100 stalls filled with art, food, clothes, jewellery, crafts, gifts and more at the Northwich Artisan Market. Many of the stall owners are local to the area and all are incredibly skilled at their prospective crafts. The event will take place on December 14th, giving you the chance to pick up some last-minute Christmas presents for friends and family. You’ll be simply spoilt for choice.

If you are thinking of changing your lifestyle and are 50+ with no children, we highly recommend that you put your name down for one of the new homes that will be on the park once the improvements have been done.
I bought my new home in March 2007. I chose Delamere Grove partly because of the unusual layout of the park, e.g. with every plot being different.
As residents of Delamere Grove Park we find this a very pleasant place to live. Being in a rural area of Cheshire it has much to offer.
