Retired and looking for a down-sizer? Take a look at Riverside Park, one of the most exclusive retirement park homes in Cheshire. Ideally located on the edge of the pretty River Weaver, you’ll have the perfect base to explore the county for all it has to offer.
Since our exclusive retirement park has a 50+ age restriction, you might be interested to know what Cheshire has to offer the over-50 individual. Well, you’re in luck, because Cheshire is probably the best area to retire to in the entire country. Whether you live life at 100 miles an hour or you prefer fine dining and cultural activities, there really is something for everyone here.
You’re also within easy reach of the larger cities of Liverpool and Manchester. When it comes to relaxing, there are a plethora of fantastic restaurants and pubs, plus the Cheshire Oaks shopping mall where you can buy all your favourite brands at discount prices.
We’re also lucky to have our fair share of gastropubs, fantastic restaurants and award-winning eateries. And if you prefer to dine on the water, then Cheshire has a huge canal network with regular boat tours up and down the county – party boats are pretty popular, too! Aside from the culinary benefits, Cheshire also has many excellent theatres and cinemas where you can catch a performance in the mid-week, such as The Storyhouse in Chester or the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe.
Can’t sit down for more than a minute? Cheshire has more than enough to keep you entertained. The gorgeous Peak District is only a short drive away, which gives you access to many stunning hiking and climbing routes. And if you like walks with a view, then we can think of Delamere Forest, Ness Botanical Gardens and Stonyford Cottage Gardens, to name but a few. If you don’t fancy walking around, then why not visit one of the few falconries in Cheshire? They provide an incredible experience with majestic birds of prey and it would be great fun for the grandkids.
After all that adrenaline, test your brains at one of the many escape rooms in the area, or visit one of the local museums for a dose of culture and history. We recommend The Lion Salt Works, a restored salt-making site, for an interesting day out in Northwich.
If history lessons aren’t quite your thing, then Cheshire still has more to give. It’s also a hub of stunning parks and gardens, such as Grappenhall Heys, Marbury Country Park and Abbeywood Gardens. Fabulous for a walk at any time of year and great to take the grandkids to.
So, now you’ve heard all about the benefits of living in Cheshire. Here’s why we think that Riverside Park is the ideal retirement park home in Cheshire. Firstly, we’ve got a fantastic community of people here at the park. Everybody is so friendly and looks out for one another. What’s more, everybody who lives in the park has one main thing in common: They want to live out their retirement in a relaxing, luxurious place with people who are just like them. Many of our current residents love the fact that this 50+ community is full of like-minded individuals. It also reminds them of the old times when people would actually know their neighbours and talk to each other.
However, aside from the community aspect, ours is simply a par above what you would expect from a retirement park. We’ve had it professionally landscaped so that each spacious plot benefits from unbridled views of the gorgeous river bank. What’s more, we regularly maintain the area to keep it looking as lovely as can be. There’s always someone around, whether that be a site manager or another resident so you can rest assured that there’s always something going on. And that doesn’t even include the regular activities that we put together!
Our luxury park homes are built with the over-50 in mind. Designed to resemble a traditional bungalow, they provide the ideal combination of traditional design and modern comfort. They have ample storage to give you plenty of room for organising your clothes and other belongings. Plus, you can guarantee that the open-plan kitchen/lounge area in your new home will give you plenty of space to entertain guests. And since our park homes are compact yet spacious, you benefit from plenty of walking room. No need to spend all day cleaning!
If you’d like to inquire about one of the stunning, luxury park homes at Riverside Park in Cheshire, please do not hesitate to call us on 0800 772 0011 or send us an email at [email protected] We’d be happy to help answer any questions you may have.
If you are thinking of changing your lifestyle and are 50+ with no children, we highly recommend that you put your name down for one of the new homes that will be on the park once the improvements have been done.
I bought my new home in March 2007. I chose Delamere Grove partly because of the unusual layout of the park, e.g. with every plot being different.
As residents of Delamere Grove Park we find this a very pleasant place to live. Being in a rural area of Cheshire it has much to offer.
