Whether you want a lovely pub meal or a cosy place to meet friends for a drink, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of the best pubs and bars near Whitegate, according to us!
The Vale Royal Abbey Arms is a traditional country pub with a wide selection of hearty grub to offer. Choose from hot or cold sandwiches, pasta, burgers, pub classics and more, and wash it all down with some fine cask ales. You’ll also benefit from some gorgeous views of the grounds.
The Plough Inn serves a variety of fresh food, prepared with local, seasonal ingredients in a beautiful country pub setting. Their drinks menu is also quite spectacular. They serve a unique, artisan selection of wine, whiskeys, cask ales and more. And if you’re not keen on sharing your quiet time with young children, then you’ll love the fact that the Plough Inn is a kid-free zone. Only those aged 15+ can enter the bar and restaurant areas.
Rated the number 1 restaurant in Northwich, Kanya is certainly the place to go for fine European cuisine. There are 3 delicious menus available (breakfast, lunch and dinner) as well as the option for an afternoon tea, and their wine menu is sure to please. As well as this, they offer fantastic options for vegetarians and vegans, so it’s a great place to meet for those with dietary requirements.
The Blue Cap pub in Sandiway is a great family-friendly venue with a variety of dishes to offer. Enjoy all your favourite pub classics, a large dessert menu and their lovely beer garden! Better yet, they have food offers on every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, so you can enjoy a delicious meal for less.
If you love the finer things in life, then look no further than DeFine Food and Wine. Their wine menu is simply unmatched (they even host wine-themed dinners!) and you’ll surely find a bottle to suit every dish on offer at the restaurant. Sip on a fine wine of your choice whilst you enjoy tapas-style cuisine in a stunning, modern setting. What’s more, they also have a deli where you can pick up some delicious treats to take back home.
A traditional country pub, The Bull’s Head is the ideal venue for a hearty pub meal and tasty ales. And if you have a dog, then you’ll be delighted to know that this place is dog friendly! They show all your favourite sports on TV, plus they have football and darts teams to join. Being an integral part of the community is close to their heart and the venue has a very warm vibe to it.

If you are thinking of changing your lifestyle and are 50+ with no children, we highly recommend that you put your name down for one of the new homes that will be on the park once the improvements have been done.
I bought my new home in March 2007. I chose Delamere Grove partly because of the unusual layout of the park, e.g. with every plot being different.
As residents of Delamere Grove Park we find this a very pleasant place to live. Being in a rural area of Cheshire it has much to offer.
